Sam Owen

Sam Owen has spent over ten years working with acoustics and acceleration sensors, leading to the development of Otolith’s patented nVRT technology. As the first-named inventor on nine U.S. patent publications, his work has been instrumental in developing the foundational science, initial prototyping, and clinical validation of Otolith’s technology.

Otolith was founded on a groundbreaking discovery Sam made shortly after earning his Master’s in Physics from Georgetown University. His physics education was uniquely grounded in both scientific research and the commercialization of new technological developments.

As a Halcyon Incubator Fellow and MedTech Innovator alum, Sam exemplifies a deep commitment to entrepreneurial success and innovation in the medical device field.

As CEO, he has led Otolith through growth, fundraising, product development, clinical trials, and interactions with the FDA. His leadership is grounded in a clear vision and a deep commitment to building a high-performing, unified team that fosters collaborative success.
